Our new lorries - Ready for the road

We are excited for our two new skip lorries to come onto the road. These vehicles are 3.8 metre wheelbase trucks, which are fitted with nine-speed manual transmissions. Additionally, there’s a ‘Comfort’ seat for the driver, the traction control has the Volvo hill-hold function and they also come with air conditioning.

So, what are the safety and security measures featured on the new Baco-Compak lorries? Both vehicles comply with FORS Silver Standards. They have a 6-Camera System, recording all actions of the vehicle while in operation. Whilst providing an in cab all round view of the vehicle for the driver

They both come fitted with Left-Turn Audible Alarm, warning those close-by that the lorry is about to turn left and Rear Reverse Audible Alarm warning those within the vicinity that the vehicle is about to reverse. Side-Scan Close Proximity Sensors alert the driver of a vulnerable road user situated along the near side / front corner.  Furthermore, they have Collision Warning with Emergency Brake an advanced emergency braking system, including early collision warning.

Both vehicles are fitted with Vehicle Tracking to ensure our vehicles are driven in a courteous manner, and not exceeding speed limits. Also allowing us to monitor Engine Idle Times to reduce fuel consumption and air emissions

Bodywork comes in the shape of the Hyvalift NG2012XL skip loader with a lifting capacity of between 5.4 and 12 tonnes depending on arm positioning and extension. With remote control Easy Sheet System Lifting Equipment with Full Remote Control affording the operator a clear and safe view of the area while lifting and operating the skip equipment in all environments.
